In keeping with a customer's style - do you keep voluntary 'mistakes'?

General size customer style voluntary mistakes 

I just did a French to English translation where the size for a pair of jeans was listed as 26.34 - which makes no sense in French or English. Should I translate correctly, as 24x34 even if I think the customer may have chosen this style on purpose?

I think is a great example of a situation where you could have asked the customer for clarification - did you try to do this?
