Our view

fidus interpres, or "faithful translator" in Latin, is a blog maintained by Fabio Said for translators, language students, and translation buyers. It's available in English, German, and Portuguese, and offers extensive resources and information for translators -- tools, news, and advice on agencies or freelancing. There is also a "translator's bookshelf" section with reviews of books for and about translation. The ads get a little distracting sometimes, but in general it's very accessible and useful as a resource.
