We love Survs, and so should you

We're preparing to release our big "State of the Translation Industry Report 2009" in just a few days, and we wanted to mention a great new service we used that made writing and researching for the report possible.

What's this great new service I'm talking about? It's called Survs, and it's a cool new online survey tool that let's you create, distribute, analyze and share survey results by yourself or with multiple users. We're obsessed with good, simple designs that are efficient and user-friendly - these are the same standards myGengo lives by. With some services, especially for things like creating and managing surveys, it can be a pain to try to get what you really want. But Survs has been just the opposite in our experience. And that may be the biggest indicator of how great it really is: the layout and features are intuitive and it just makes sense. And we know - we've experimented with a number of different survey tools. Being a startup, issues of pricing and multi-user sharing have been obstacles in the past.

Here are some specific features we came to love:

• Very quick to set up
• No confusion (some other systems are confusing about whether you have shared it to non-users)
• Creates very usable forms
• Analyzing/exporting data is super easy (built-in charts are very user-friendly)
• Can do complex logic operations
• You can easily customize the survey with themes, company logos, etc.
• Tracks non-completed as well as completed forms
• You can track different people from different sources
• Little things, like analyzing the results in real-time so you don't have to keep refreshing the page, gives it the extra user-friendly touch
• Pricing is based on number of responses per month rather than the number of surveys you create, which is more suitable for startups like us

And the uses of Survs are endless - not only have we used it to conduct customer and translator surveys, but also for job applications. It's become a vital part of our workflow, and the simplicity and user-friendly design makes it an ideal tool for anyone to use.
