The top Twitter users out there have millions of followers. Who are we talking about? People like Barack Obama, Britney Spears, Ashton Kutcher, Lady Gaga... and more. You had to read English to be able to follow their tweets - meaning that hundreds of thousands more Japanese twitter users couldn't follow foreign celebrities they were interested in.
All that is changing - today we're launching a service for Japan that allows users to follow their favourite English-speaking celebrity - in Japanese! myGengo will human-translate tweets as soon as possible after they are sent - and our super-fast service means users will get an almost real-time feed.

The initial lineup is:
Britney Spears
Japanese: b_spears_ja
Ashton Kutcher
Japanese: aplusk_ja
CNN Breaking News
Japanese: cnnbrk_ja
Barack Obama
Japanese: barackobama_ja
TechCrunch
Japanese: techcrunch_ja
Lady Gaga
Japanese: ladygaga_ja
Coldplay
Japanese: coldplay_ja
Taking suggestions for more people to follow
We've picked a selection of the most popular twitter celebrities to start us off - but we'll take suggestions from anyone, and if enough people suggest a particular celebrity we'll start translating their tweets too. Simply visit our twitter page at http://en.mygengo.com/discover/twitter/celebs to get started.
A sign of things to come
Our twitter service is just the beginning. We're announcing some interesting things next week that go much further... so stay tuned.
